I grew up in East Texas, among the red dirt, wisteria vines and pine trees. Inspired by my mom, who practiced photography as a hobby, I was always taking pictures. While attending the University of Texas at Austin around 2009, a malfunction with my Pentax K1000 resulted in a double exposure and I liked the "error". Replicating and refining that process has been my primary focus ever since. All my multiple exposures are produced on film and inside the camera, the only digital manipulation used is for color adjustment.
I never took a photography course and I’m not any good at taking “regular” photos. I’m interested in capturing memories and dreams.
All my framed art is done by hand, by me. I scan the negatives and edit them to my satisfaction using Corel. I collect and clean the frames, paint them, source the matte glass, cut the matboard and put it all together.
